Test limitations
Limitations of the Genetic Vulnerability Section and the Hereditary Conditions Section: Variant Coverage: Although the genetic vulnerability report for BRCA1/BRCA2 covers 832 variants in these genes, it does not include all possible variants. The absence of detected variants does not rule out the presence of other genetic variants that may affect cancer risk. The reports are not intended to diagnose diseases or inform about future risk of developing a disease, fetal health, or the risk of diseases in a newborn.
Limitations in Pharmacogenetics: The pharmacogenetics report provides information about variants associated with the metabolism of certain medications but cannot predict with certainty an individual’s response to a specific medication. It does not analyze all possible variants that may affect metabolism or protein function. The analysis results should be confirmed through an independent genetic test prescribed by a healthcare provider before taking any medical action. Changing your current treatment based solely on test results can lead to harmful side effects or reduce the expected benefits of your medication.
