FREQUENT ASKED QUESTIONS

WE ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS

Conditions NOT included in the tellmeGen test

The tellmeGen DNA test is not a diagnostic tool.

If your need is testing a particular genetic disease related to personal or family history, you should consult a healthcare professional in order to ensure that you are taking the most appropriate test for your personal situation.

In the same way, tellmeGen does not currently analyze duplications or deletions of entire genes, nor chromosome rearrangements, translocations or mosaicism, although is likely we will be able do it in the future

tellmeGen does not analyze trisomies or other aneuploidies or monosomies

The technology that tellmeGen uses is focused on the analysis of Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms or SNPs. This technique, called genotyping, is not designed to identify all the potential variants in one gene. Thus, it is likely that we will not be able to provide all the genetic variants that are described for a gene, but a big percentage of the most important variants.
