What does the maternal haplogroup calculation consist of?
Our calculation consists of extracting genetic information from the mitochondrial chromosome of each user. This information then passes strict quality controls that allow us to obtain more accurate results so that, through algorithms, we can decipher the maternal haplogroup to which it belongs.
This calculation consists of observing similarities between different markers of the mitochondrial chromosome of our users and different databases that collect the different existing maternal haplogroups.
