FREQUENT ASKED QUESTIONS

WE ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS

What is the genetic factor?

The genetic factor of a disease or complex personal trait is the genetic part that regulates that disease or trait. In other words, these are the variants known to have a direct effect on the risk or genetic vulnerability to develop that disease or exhibit that trait.

Based on each individual’s DNA, they present one or another genetic variant, which will result in a certain genetic risk.

However, the result is not absolute, as environmental factors also determine the onset and/or severity of the pathology, sometimes with a greater influence than the person’s genetics.
