What is the tellmeGen ULTRA DNA test and what does “Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) 30x” mean?

ULTRA is our most advanced genetic test. Through Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS), we analyze your entire genome (approximately 3 billion base pairs) with an average coverage of 30x.

This means that each position of your DNA is read, on average, about 30 times, allowing us to reliably detect common, rare, and structural genetic variants (DNA fragments that are missing, extra, or rearranged), surpassing the accuracy of genotyping-based tests. Coverage is an average and may vary slightly depending on the region of the genome analyzed.
